A Starbucks employee was bitten by a monkey that jumped from a car, leading to vaccinations and stitches after the bizarre drive-thru incident
It all went down on January 10. The police got called to the scene. They found out that the monkey had leapt through the window and climbed up the worker’s arm before biting her. Ouch!
Another employee had to step in and get the monkey off her. After the chaos, the monkey just hopped back into the car, and the driver took off.
The owner might face some charges, according to the police. They’re still looking into it. The worker said there were two monkeys in the car when she approached. The driver, who later came inside to chat, didn’t leave her name.
Turns out, the monkey was an Aotus, or owl monkey. It got a clean bill of health after a vet check. The owner did get cited for not restraining her animals properly. Just a £20 fine, though. What a crazy day at Starbucks!
