Two major UK supermarkets are recalling cough syrups due to contamination concerns. Customers are advised to check their products and stay alert.
London: An urgent recall has been announced for some cough syrups sold at Tesco and Asda. The products in question are Tesco Health Dry Cough Relief and Asda’s Strong Dry Tickly Cough.
Bells Healthcare, the maker, found “foreign material” in these syrups after a customer complaint. They’re recalling several batches as a precaution.
No need to panic, though. Patients don’t need to take any action right now. Just keep an eye out for any visible contamination. If you notice anything odd, reach out to a healthcare professional.
