London: Louise Butcher, 51, is back in the spotlight. Last year, she couldn’t finish the London Marathon due to illness. But this time, she’s determined to cross that finish line.

She made headlines when she ran topless in the marathon, proudly showing her mastectomy scars. This was a powerful statement about body positivity and self-acceptance after her battle with breast cancer.

Louise is aiming to be the first topless female finisher in the marathon’s history. But she’s not stopping there. She plans a topless running tour across the UK, hitting cities like Bath and Cardiff.

Despite some critics, she’s focused on her mission. “Running has empowered me,” she says. Louise was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago and has undergone multiple surgeries.

She chose not to have reconstructive surgery, wanting to embrace her body as it is. “I accept the way I am,” she explains. Her topless run was also about raising awareness for lobular breast cancer.

During her marathon run, she received overwhelming support. “People were crying, women were shouting my name,” she recalls. She raised £3,500 for Breast Cancer Now.

Louise’s journey continues with more races, including the London Marathon again. She trains topless every day, ignoring online trolls.

“I didn’t start running topless for approval,” she says. “I wanted to spark change.” This year, she’s also releasing a book, *Going Topless*, sharing her inspiring story.
