Derby County’s Eiran Cashin is attracting interest from Brighton with a new bid, raising questions about his future at the club
Now, we don’t know how much the bid is for, or if it’s even going to go through. But this isn’t the first time Brighton has shown interest in Cashin. About 18 months ago, they tried to snag him when Derby was gearing up for promotion from League One.
That deal didn’t happen, and Cashin stayed put. He helped Derby get back into the Championship, and now he’s been a key player this season. He’s started 20 out of 27 league matches, and he just got back after a hamstring injury.
His partnership with Curtis Nelson has been solid, but with Nelson out for the season, Cashin’s role is even more crucial. It’s unclear if Derby will consider selling him, especially since he signed a contract that runs until 2027 just a year ago.
Last March, Cashin shared his experience with Brighton on transfer deadline day. He described it as super stressful, spending hours at Starbucks, waiting for news. In the end, the deal fell through because it was too late to sort out a medical.
What do you think? Can Derby afford to let Cashin go? Let’s hear your thoughts!
